Privacy policy

For every app published by Bell Rope. Effective 13 September 2026.

These apps collect nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours for anything to be sent to. The apps work with the phone in airplane mode.

What stays on your device

Your bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading position, reading-plan progress and settings are stored in a file inside the app's own private storage on your device. We never see them. They are not sent anywhere, not backed up to any service of ours, and not shared between devices. Deleting the app deletes them, so keep the app installed or copy out anything you want to keep.

What the app does not do

It asks for no permissions at all: no notifications, no location, no photos, no contacts, no microphone. It does not ask to track you, and it cannot: it contains no advertising software and no tracking software of any kind. It does not know who you are.

Purchases

If a future version offers a purchase, Apple handles the payment entirely. We never receive or see your card, bank or Apple Account details.

The text in the app

The Bible, the hymns, the prayers, the confessions and the reading plans are bundled with the app when you install it. Reading any of them requires no internet connection and generates no request to anyone.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any third party.

Children

The apps are for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children.

Changes

If a future version adds advertising, this policy will be replaced before that version is released, and the App Store privacy information will be updated to match. This page always describes the version currently on sale.
