Report a mistake in a text
Every Bible, prayer, hymn and document in these apps is transcribed from a printed edition and checked against the page, but a misprint can still slip through. If a word looks wrong, send us the app, the passage and what you think it should say. We check it against the printing it came from and, where the printing agrees with you, fix it in the next update. We never modernise or reword a text; where the old printing reads oddly, the app reads oddly with it, on purpose.
Common questions
Where are my notes and highlights? They are saved in the app's private storage on your device. Bell Rope does not receive them, and the apps do not sync them between devices. Depending on your settings, a device backup or transfer may include them. Removing the app deletes its local copy, but a backup may still hold a copy and may restore it if you reinstall.
Can I start a reading plan again? Yes. Open the plan and start it from its first day; the old progress is replaced.
The type is too small, or too large. Adjust Text size in the app's Settings to change the reader. The apps also follow your device's text-size setting. On iPhone and iPad, that is in Settings, Display & Brightness, Text Size; on Android, look for Font size in device Settings (the path varies by device).
Dark mode. In the app's Settings, Appearance offers System, Light, Dark and Sepia. System follows your device's light or dark setting. On iPhone and iPad, change it in Settings, Display & Brightness; on Android, look for Dark theme in device Settings.
Does it need a connection? No. The Bible, the prayers, the hymns, the documents and the plans are all inside the app. It works in airplane mode.
Is there an account? No, and there never will be one to lose. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to sign in to.
Which devices? iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later, and Android phones and tablets on Android 8.0 or later.
